The 1970 Rolling Stone interview is a pivotal document in John Lennon's life, possibly his most important one in his solo years and a fascinating read throughout. At the time, he had just released his first studio album, after 3 avantgarde LPs with Yoko and "Live Peace in Toronto"; John and Yoko had undergone Janov's primal therapy and that clearly shows through John's often bitter words, especially about The Beatles, years later he spoke about this interview saying "I was outa me head". This book was first published in 1971 after it had appeared in R.S. magazine in instalments.

The original tapes somehow leaked into the bootleg circuit in recent years.

Best was a a music magazine derived from the popular "Nuovo Sound". This special monographic issue came out just after John Lennon's assassination.

It features pictures, John's biography, solo discography, photos from the New York vigil and polemics on how the media (especially italian television) covered that dramatic event. Include is a comic by Gianfranco "Johnny" Grieco of Dirty Actions, legendary punk new wave italian band.

This is the english translation of a 1982 dutch book, a detailed Beatle timeline with lots of black and white pictures (almost 1000). There are also several interesting essays about less discussed Beatle subjects (Pete Best, Beatles in Holland, Paul is dead hoax, Apple Scruffs, bootlegs etc.).

Before Mark Lewisohn set to work on his definitive chronologies, books like this one were precious and rare stuff.

A beautiful photographic book; this is the cheap edition sold at newsagents but still a neat and elegant one. The book was part of a series entitled John Lennon - The Dreamer, which consisted of 8 remastered Lennon cds and this book as a conclusion. Some 200 pictures and short texts tell Lennon's life from childhood to Double Fantasy.

Foreword by Yoko Ono Lennon.

In February 1981, shortly after John Lennon's death, Posterstory issued a Lennon special. When unfolded, it featured a huge poster with a picture of John and Yoko on one side (measuring 83,5x56 cm) and a biography, discography, pictures and a couple of lyrics from "Double Fantasy" on the other.
