I BEATLES IN INDIA

LEWIS LAPHAM - I BEATLES IN INDIA
Altri dieci giorni che cambiarono il mondo
(Edizioni E/O - Assolo - March 2007 - 120pp.)

An inside look at the Beatles' stay in Rishikesh, at the foot of the Hymalaya, with the Maharishi, where they wrote most of the material for the "White Album". This book was written by Lewis Lapham, a journalist who happened to share some of the time the Fab Four spent in India with Donovan, Mia Farrow, Mike Love and others; in this book he writes about the meeting of pop culture with the world of oriental mysticism, trying to focus on that particular moment in time rather than on the Beatles; a beautiful account which shouldn't be missed.

Original title: With The Beatles (Melville House Publishing, 2005).
Translated by Alberto Bracci Testasecca.

Size: 18x12 cm.
